Care Philosophy: As far back as she can remember, Dr. Farhadfar knew all she wanted was to become a physician. The decision to become a hematologist / oncologist became evident during an elective rotation in Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy outpatient clinic. "The science behind transplant and cellular therapy was fascinating, but the patients and the ability to develop long-term relationships with them and their families, was the main reason I chose this field," she explains. "During each patient visit, I noticed that the hematologist knew the patients so well that he could tell how they were feeling by slight changes in mannerisms. There was a true connection between the patient and the doctor during a very difficult time in the patient's life. This is exactly what I was looking for."
