Biography: I believe open and honest communication between patients and providers is the foundation of good healthcare. I hope to develop the kind of relationships with patients wherein they feel comfortable talking to me about any and all health concerns.

Care Philosophy: My philosophy of care is a holistic, compassionate, and patient-centered approach to care using evidence-based practice by staying up-to-date on the latest and best practices in healthcare. I view the patient as a whole, including their physical, emotional, and social needs. I feel the patient needs to be involved in the decisions pertaining to their care based on their values and beliefs. I was a registered nurse for 30 years before deciding to pursue my advanced practice degree. I wanted to be able to help patients manage their chronic illnesses as well as teach and facilitate patients' being proactive in preventing illness and living a healthy life. I also enjoy the challenge of being in a profession that requires lifelong learning.
