Within nine months, she started working in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit and was promoted to Charge Nurse. Her ongoing desire to learn more led her to a position in the San Bernardino County Medical Center Emergency Department (now Arrowhead Regional Medical Center). During her nine years of practice at this Level II Trauma and Burn Center, she became the charge nurse and a designated Trauma Nurse.
