Biography: This physician is accepting telehealth visits. Dr. Lance Jacobson is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who has been treating patients for over 6 years. In addition to surgery, he also has experience treating a wide range of orthopedic specialties including joint replacement, pediatrics, as well as foot an ankle issues. Dr. Jacobson attended medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Following his training there, he completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Utah. Dr. Jacobson went on to finish an extra year of training in an orthopedic trauma fellowship at Ortholndy in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Jacobson was born and raised in Montpelier, Idaho. While working as a CNA in high school, he was immediately impressed with the excellent treatment provided in the small town, despite the somewhat limited resources. This fueled Dr. Jacobson's desire to pursue a career in medicine, and make specialty medical care available closer to the patients, rather than expecting them to travel long distances for care. Outside his work as an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Jacobson enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. When he's not at the clinic, you might find him at the ball park, enjoying the outdoors, or on the water fly fishing.

Care Philosophy: I was asked to serve in the south of France and loved living among the French people for two years, Hedin says. I decided that I loved being able to interact with people from all walks of life on a day-to-day basis and hearing their stories and trying to help them if I could with their struggles. A career in medicine sounded like a good fit for me. We don't own any particular organ system, but rather strive to treat patients as a whole and restore function after any musculoskeletal or neurologic injury.
