He specializes in both endoscopic and open carpal tunnel releases, computer-guided shoulder replacements, and all manner of upper extremity trauma. Prior to receiving his medical degree, Dr. Sutton did his undergraduate and premedical education at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, and Penn State University in State College, PA. Dr. Sutton is a published author with several articles in the shoulder and upper extremity literature. He additionally co-authored a multi-center study evaluating rehabilitative care of extremity fractures in spinal cord patients. Ongoing areas of research interest include the use of technology to improve surgical outcomes, decrease infections, and provide improved overall care to patients. Dr. Sutton has previously volunteered with multiple organizations, including March Of Dimes, Habitat for Humanity, and multiple hospitals in the Atlanta, GA area. Dr. Sutton lives in the Charlotte area with his wife, a practicing pediatric emergency medicine physician, and children. In his free time, he enjoys hiking and camping, cooking, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and watching his sons grow. He and his wife are excited to be welcoming a daughter into the family later this year.
