He then went on to complete a Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO) fellowship at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) which focused on the surgical and medical management of complex urologic cancers. In 2020, Dr. Patel was the honored recipient of the Distinguished Housestaff Award by Weill Cornell Medicine for his service and dedication. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and is an ad hoc reviewer for several journals.
