Biography: Colleen Gowans is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner graduating from Spring Arbor University with a Master of Science in Nursing degree. She worked most recently as a Nurse Practitioner for Molina Healthcare working in the community with at-risk populations. Prior to that, she spent 11 years working for the University of Utah in the operating room as a registered nurse. She held several leadership roles and was able to work with many surgical specialties. During her time in the operating room, she discovered a strong interest in Vascular Surgery and spent most of her time working directly with this service in surgical and angiography procedures. These patients often require long-term treatment and she enjoyed seeing the positive impact different surgeries had on their quality of life. She is looking forward to continuing her career with Vascular Surgery as a Nurse Practitioner and taking a more active role in the treatment of this population.Colleen grew up in Utah and in her spare time enjoys yoga and running with her 3 dogs.
