Care Philosophy: For over a decade I have been taking care of people with lymphoma. At the end of every visit, I want people to know that I have taken the time to develop the plan that is the best for them. I am fortunate to work in a center where cancer care specialists can work along side experts in every field of medicine to care for the whole person. We are working every day to develop better treatments and integrate them into clinical practice. We have been involved in the development of virtually every drug approved for treatment of lymphoma over the past 15 years, including targeted therapies and immunotherapy. In our labs and our clinics we are developing the drugs of the future. We have made a lot of progress in the way lymphoma is diagnosed and treated, and I am determined to continue developing more effective, less toxic therapies.

Care Philosophy: Everything that we do at our center, whether clinical care, research or education, is focused on helping patients. Here are some of the many reasons why patients tell us they come here - whether from the New York area, the surrounding region, or traveling from all over the country and other parts of the world in order to receive evaluation and treatment for lymphoma by our group. Patients seek treatment here because they are referred here by their physicians, who recognize our expertise and know that across the region and the country we are a "go to" place to seek the best lymphoma care. Our physicians are internationally recognized for clinical skill, research, and personal qualities. In fact, we care for a substantial number of individual physicians (or their family members) who are themselves dealing with lymphoma.

Care Philosophy: I realize how scary it can be to receive a life-threatening diagnosis, and firmly believe in taking the time to clearly communicate with my patients about the nature of their disease and their various treatment options. This can not only vastly improve our patients' experiences, but also their treatment outcomes, as an educated patient is able to make informed decisions about care and reclaim some of the autonomy that can be lost when coping with a cancer diagnosis. In the midst of all the cutting-edge science and technology that we offer, I find it extremely important to remember that it is the patient who is the center of it all. I genuinely care about my patients, and instilling a sense of hope, sharing a laugh, or a kind word can be as important as all the medical advances and state-of-the-art science.
