Biography: Scott Lang, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician with LewisGale Physicians at the family medicine academic clinic in Roanoke, Virginia. He is affiliated with LewisGale Medical Center where he serves as the program director of the Family Medicine Residency. As an attending physician of an academic medicine clinic at LewisGale Physicians, he supervises resident physicians, training them to be the next generation of physician leaders. Dr. Lang attended Temple University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he earned his Doctor of Medicine. He then completed his residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida where he received a Golden Apple Award for teaching excellence throughout residency. Preceding his medical degree, Dr. Lang earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Comparative Literature from Hamilton College in Clinton, Ney York. Dr. Lang is board-certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians and serves as an active member of the DEI committee and Family Medicine-Medical Executive committee at HCA-North Florida Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. He is a Major in the Army National Guard, serving in the 256th Medical Company, and has held various teaching positions at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine including associate professor, associate program director, and director of the simulation teaching lab. He has composed numerous publications, and presentations, and has attended various Family Medicine residency conferences over the past five years. When not seeing patients, Dr. Lang enjoys exercising, talking about sports, eating barbecue, spending time outdoors, and quality time with his family.

Biography: Kevin Kelleher, M.D., is a board-certified family medicine physician with LewisGale Physicians in Roanoke, Virginia. He is an attending physician at an academic medicine clinic as part of the Family Medicine Residency Program affiliated with LewisGale Medical Center. In this role, Dr. Kelleher supervises resident physicians, training them to be the next generation of physician leaders. Dr. Kelleher completed his undergraduate studies at University of Notre Dame. He then went on to earn his medical doctorate at Medical College of Ohio and completed his internship and residency in family practice at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Dr. Kelleher has more than 40 years of experience.Dr. Kelleher is board-certified by the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons (ABPS). He has served as a national spokesperson for free clinics and was medical director of the Bradley Free Clinic for 33 years. In this capacity, he was a key player in passing the Volunteer Protection Act of 1997. He taught at Jefferson College of Health Sciences for 15 years and wrote a local medical advice column for 27 years.Dr. Kelleher has received numerous honors and awards throughout his career, including the Medical Society of Virginia's highest award for community service, the Free Clinic Lifetime Achievement Award, the David Newman Award, the Rotary Paul Harris Award, and Our Health's Best Bedside Manner Award for Southwest Virginia. In addition, Dr. Kelleher is an accomplished artist and illustrator, backpacker, canoeist, and fly fisherman. He is the author/illustrator of the bestselling book Tenkara: Radically Simple, Ultralight Fly Fishing as well as medical texts. He also teaches fly fishing and tying for local adult and youth groups.Dr. Kelleher currently welcomes new patients and referrals.
