Biography: A board-certified, award-winning OB/GYN specialist, Dr. Neda Hashemi offers her compassion and experience to members of the Reston, Virginia, community at Reston Women's Center.Dr. Hashemi received her Bachelor of Science from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, and attended the Medical College of Virginia, where she received a Master of Science in Physiology and Endocrinology.After earning her medical degree at the same university, she pursued the field of OB/GYN during her residency with some of the most renowned surgeons at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore.The recipient of numerous accolades, including multiple scientific research awards, Dr. Hashemi has been voted the best teaching resident-physician in her field. She is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is the director of Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital.Dr. Hashemi enjoys being a member of the local community and volunteers in underprivileged communities in Virginia.
