Biography: Telehealth visits are available.Jori Carter, MD, MS, FACOG, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained gynecologic oncologist with Virginia Gynecologic Oncology in Richmond, Virginia, an affiliate of the HCA Healthcare Sarah Cannon Cancer Network at Henrico Doctors' Hospital.Dr. Carter received her Doctor of Medicine from University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She completed her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Boston University with Boston Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. She then went on to earn a Master of Science in Clinical Research at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health and completed fellowship training in gynecologic oncology with University of Minnesota Medical School. Prior to medical school, she also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychobiology from Mills College in Oakland, California. Dr. Carter is dual board certified in Gynecologic Oncology and Obstetrics and Gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Carter specializes in providing comprehensive cancer care for women who have been diagnosed with cancers of the cervix, ovaries, uterus, vagina, vulva, and endometrium. She has been published for her numerous research studies on gynecologic cancers. Dr. Carter is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Society of Gynecologic Oncologists, and American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Biography: Kenneth Brown, MD, FACS, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained surgeon with Richmond Surgical Associates in Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Brown earned his medical degree at University of Virginia Medical School in Charlottesville, Virginia, where he also enjoyed a one-year research fellowship. He then went on to complete his residency training in general surgery and fellowship training in transplant surgery at the Medical College of Virginia, now VCU Health, where he served as chief resident. He also received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Bachelor of Science in Biology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts.Dr. Brown is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery and is affiliated with Henrico Doctors' Hospital and the Virginia Transplant Center. He has more than three decades of medical expertise specializing in general surgery, transplant surgery, and vascular surgery. He utilizes a wide breadth of practice helping his patients with both simple and complex problems and those in between. He enjoys problem solving and practices patient-focused solutions employing the best platforms including advanced laparoscopic techniques and the da Vinci robot.
