Biography: Kenneth Brown, MD, FACS, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained surgeon with Richmond Surgical Associates in Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Brown earned his medical degree at University of Virginia Medical School in Charlottesville, Virginia, where he also enjoyed a one-year research fellowship. He then went on to complete his residency training in general surgery and fellowship training in transplant surgery at the Medical College of Virginia, now VCU Health, where he served as chief resident. He also received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Bachelor of Science in Biology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts.Dr. Brown is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery and is affiliated with Henrico Doctors' Hospital and the Virginia Transplant Center. He has more than three decades of medical expertise specializing in general surgery, transplant surgery, and vascular surgery. He utilizes a wide breadth of practice helping his patients with both simple and complex problems and those in between. He enjoys problem solving and practices patient-focused solutions employing the best platforms including advanced laparoscopic techniques and the da Vinci robot.
