Care Philosophy: Dr. Arkam Rehman, MD is a Pain Medicine Specialist who is Double Board Certified in Both Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation & ABPMR and sub-specialty board certified in Pain Medicine. He is a local leader in minimally invasive spine surgeries using guided imaging and scopes to treat neck, mid back and lower back injuries. He is affiliated with area's leading hospitals such as Orange Park Medical Center, & St. Vincents Ascension Medical Center. Dr. Rehman focuses on two core areas to assist our clients achieve total sense of wellbeing. Through medically supervised age management, wellness and aesthetics services, he treates the whole you by giving you his read and perspective on what your goals are and what will help you the best per his assessment. He has a great eye for balance and beauty, and his knowledge in natural and aesthetic health options is exceptional. Biography: Dr. Shelley was born and raised in Savannah and attended Savannah Country Day School. He completed his undergraduate studies at Furman University where he majored in biology and graduate with honors. He attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA, where he graduated in the top of his class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He also completed his residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Medical College of Georgia, scoring the highest in the country on the orthopedic resident in-training exam during his final year of residency. He then completed a fellowship in Hip and Knee Reconstruction at the Norton Orthopaedic Institute in Louisville, Kentucky. There, he trained with internationally recognized experts in the direct anterior approach for total hip replacement.?Dr. Shelley specializes in hip and knee replacement and reconstruction, employing the most current nonoperative and operative techniques to treat arthritic and complex problems of the hip and knee. This includes interests in anterior approach hip replacement, total and partial knee replacement, robotic assisted joint replacement, and revision surgery for failed joint replacements. ?When not serving his patients, Dr. Shelley enjoys spending time with his wife, Virginia, and their two children. He also enjoys boating, scuba diving, fitness, golf and endlessly rooting for the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves.
