Biography: Clayton Southern, MD, is an OB/GYN practicing at Independence Women's Clinic located in Independence, MO. He is affiliated with Centerpoint Medical Center and HCA Midwest Health. Dr. Southern provides full-spectrum women's health care from labor and delivery to well-woman exams and birth control management to hysterectomies. Dr. Southern is a Missouri native and grew up south of St. Louis. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Alabama and obtained his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in OB/Gyn at Prisma Health Upstate in Greenville, SC and is a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society and American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
