Biography: Allan Schwartz, MD is a Cardiologist, Chief, Division of Cardiology, Vice Chair, Department of Medicine and Seymour Milstein and Harold Ames Hatch Professor of Clinical Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center/Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He graduated magna cum laude in physics and mathematics from the City College of New York in 1967. He received an MA in physics in 1968 from Harvard University and an MD from the College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1974, where he was awarded the Robert Loeb and Janeway Prizes. He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at the Presbyterian Hospital and he received a fellowship in clinical and research cardiology at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Schwartz returned to the College of Physicians & Surgeons in 1978 as an academic clinical cardiologist. Dr. Schwartz has been vigorously involved in patient care, education of medical students, medical housestaff and cardiology fellows, as well as clinical research with a current focus on valvular heart disease. He has progressively assumed various leadership and administrative roles serving as Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Associate Director of the Division of Cardiology and the Seymour Milstein and Harold Ames Hatch Professor of Clinical Medicine. Dr. Schwartz has also played an important administrative role within the Department of Medicine, serving as Vice Chairman of the Department of Medicine. Dr. Schwartz has been the driving force behind the development of the NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center Cardiovascular Service Line and the development of the new Vivian and Seymour Milstein Family Heart Center. Under Dr. Schwartz's leadership, there has been a major increase in the breadth of cardiology clinical and research activities, resulting in the Division of Cardiology's attaining international prominence and emerging as one of the leading cardiology training centers in the United States.

Biography: Dr. Subramanyam was born and raised in Manhattan, New York. After graduating in Molecular, Cellular & Developmental Biology at Yale University, she attended New York University School of Medicine. She then completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, where she graduated with a degree in Medical Education. After residency, she completed her fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center.She is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, the American Society of Echocardiography, and National Lipid Association. She has published in the International Journal of Cardiology, the Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography, the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, as well as presented at several national cardiology conferences.

Biography: Dr. Samuel Kim was born and raised in Bergen County, New Jersey. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelors inBiological Sciences and a Masters Degree in Health Care Policy and Management. For his medical training, he attendedHarvard Medical School. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. After residency, Dr. Kim completed fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Kim specializes in preventive cardiology and lipidology, including additional clinical lipidology training during his fellowship at the Hospital for theUniversity of Pennsylvania Lipid Disorders Program and Advanced Lipid Disorders Program of the Ciccarone Center at Johns HopkinsHospital.Dr. Kim is a diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Lipidology and member of the National Lipid Association, American College of Cardiology, American Society of Echocardiography, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, and a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI). He has co-authored several chaptersand papers in preventive cardiology.

Biography: Dr. Goyal is a graduate of Phillips Academy-Andover, completed his undergraduate degree at Johns Hopkins University, and received his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine. Dr. Goyal joined the Weill Cornell Medicine community in 2010 where he completed his residency in Internal Medicine and completed fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease as well as in Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiology. During this time, Dr. Goyal also completed a Master's of Science in Clinical Epidemiology and Health Services Research from the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences.Dr. Goyal is now a full-time faculty member at Weill Cornell Medicine, with joint appointments in the Division of Cardiology (as a member of the Perkin Heart Failure Center) and the Division of General Internal Medicine (as a member of the core health services research faculty). Dr. Goyal has a specific interest in caring for older adults with heart failure, especially heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (a subtype of heart failure that disproportionately affects older adults). In 2018, Dr. Goyal founded (and currently serves as Director for) the Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF) Program at Weill Cornell Medicine/New York-Presbyterian Hospital, which represents one of just a few programs across the country dedicated to HFpEF. Dr. Goyal is also the Director of the Cardiac Amyloidosis Program at Weill Cornell Medicine/New York-Presbyterian Hospital.Dr. Goyal has also been very active in research. He has led studies published in high-impact journals including the New England Journal of Medicine, Annals of Internal Medicine, and Journal of the American College of Cardiology; and has received significant extramural funding including research grants from the National Institute on Aging, the American Heart Association, and the New York Community Trust. In August 2020, Dr. Goyal received the Paul B. Beeson Emerging Leaders Career Development Award in Aging (K76) to develop and test a patient-centered strategy for deprescribing in heart failure.Dr. Goyal is also an active member of the American College of Cardiology, where he currently serves as the Chair of the Geriatric Cardiology Early Career Professionals Working Group; he Co-Chairs the Reasons for Geographic and Racial Differences in Stroke (REGARDS) Heart Failure Working Group; and sits on the Editorial Board for the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society and serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Cardiac Failure.Dr. Goyal has a growing research program which is funded by the National Institute on Aging, the American Heart Association, and the New York Community Trust. Biography: Dr. McCulloughis an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology at Weill Cornell Medicine and New York Presbyterian Hospital. In addition to caring forpatients at the Weill Greenberg Center,he interprets and performs stress tests, echocardiograms, and attends on the inpatient services at New York Presbyterian Hospital.Dr. McCullough was born in Shreveport, Louisiana and completed his undergraduate education atLouisiana State University. He then attended Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where he graduated in 2012 with Distinction in Medical Education and received the Harold Elster Memorial Prize for Highest Academic Standing. Following medical school, he completedInternal Medicine residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston. He then completedhis training in cardiovascular diseases and echocardiography at Mount Sinai Hospital, where he served as Chief Cardiology Fellow.Dr. McCullough's main clinical interestsinclude studying methods toimprove the cardiovascular education of trainees,howdiagnostic testingcan bebestutilized to make appropriate therapeutic recommendations for patients, andthe role of diagnostic testingin identifying our patients at highest risk. He is a proud father, a member of the American Society of Echocardiography, and the American College of Cardiology.
