Care Philosophy: Steven R. Cohen, MD, MPH, joined Montefiore and Albert Einstein School of Medicine as Chief of Dermatology and Professor in January 2006. His career in academic medicine spans 38 years and includes bench research, acute disease epidemiology and clinical medicine.In 1977, he joined Yale Medical School with joint appointments in Dermatology and Public Health (Assistant Professor). In 1984, he moved to the Cornell University School of Medicine (Associate Professor), as well as to the Rockefeller University (Visiting Physician). In 1988, he joined the Mount Sinai School of Medicine as Professor of Dermatology and Chair of the Department of Dermatology at the Beth Israel Medical Center.In 1994, Beth Israel became University Hospital and Manhattan Campus of Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where Dr. Cohen was appointed Professor of Medicine (Dermatology). In 2001, Dr. Cohen became Professor and Deputy Chair of the Department of Dermatology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He served as Resident Program Director and Co-Chief of the Section of Dermatopharmacology.Among his scholarly honors, he was cited in 1994, 2001 and 2004 as Outstanding Dermatology Teacher by the Department of Dermatology, Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He has been honored by the Eberly College of Science Alumni Society of Pennsylvania State University as recipient of the Outstanding Science Alumni Award (1997). In 1999, Dr. Cohen became a fellow of the New York Dermatological Society, and in 2001 he was elected to the American Dermatological Association. In February 2006, he became the first dermatologist ever to receive the Parker J. Palmer Courage to Teach Award of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education.Dr. Cohen is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Society for Investigative Dermatology, the New York Academy of Medicine, and the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.

Biography: Dr. Lipner is an Associate Professor of Clinical Dermatology, Associate Attending Physician, and Director of the Nail Division at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. She completed her undergraduate studies at Dartmouth College where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Lipner completed her medical training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she received both M.D. and Ph.D degrees and graduated Alpha Omega Alpha. She completed her residency training in Dermatology at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center.Dr. Lipner is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Women's Dermatologic Society, and Council for Nail Disorders, American Dermatologic Association, and is chair of multiple committees. She is also past President of The Dermatologic Society of Greater New York, President of the New York State Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, and Founding Editor in Chief of JAAD Reviews.Dr. Lipner is board certified in Dermatology and has a wide range of clinical experience in the diagnosis and management of skin, hair, and nail disorders. She is one of the few experts in nail disorders in the world, and treats patients with nail psoriasis, nail fungal diseases, brittle nails, and nail cancers. She is also the Primary Investigator on clinical trials utilizing novel treatments for nail disorders, and offers alternative treatments to patients who have failed traditional therapies. She is also an expert in telemedicine and can diagnosis many patients with nail disorders using a video platform.Dr. Lipner is one of the leading researchers in dermatology. She has authored over 400 peer-reviewed publications, numerous books and book chapters, lectures nationally and internationally, and is frequently featured by the media including, CNN, NPR, Self, Allure, The Washington Post, and The New York Times for her expertise. Dr. Lipner offers aesthetic therapies such as Botox and injectable fillers, laser therapy for the treatment of rosacea, broken blood vessels, age spots and hair removal in both fair-skinned patients and patients with skin of color. Biography: Jonathan Hale Zippin M.D., Ph.D. is anAssociateAttending Dermatologist andAssociate Professor of Dermatology at Weill Medical College of Cornell. Dr. Zippin attended Cornell University where he received a Bachelor's of Science with Honors. He then attended the Rockefeller/Cornell/Sloan-Kettering Tri-Institutional M.D./Ph.D. program. He completed his general medicine internship at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, followed by a residency in dermatology at the Weill Cornell Medical Center - New York Presbyterian Hospital.Dr. Zippin is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Contact Dermatitis Society. Care Philosophy: Curtis graduated from Stony Brook University's PA program with honors and is the recipient of numerous scholarships. He was also inducted into the prestigious Pi Alpha National Honor Society for outstanding academic achievement, public service, and leadership. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees in medical sciences from the University of Miami where he was a Wound and Research Fellow within the Robert Frost Department of Dermatology.
