Biography: Taryn Bragg, pediatric neurosurgeon, joined Intermountain Primary Children's at Sunrise Children's Hospital in 2020. She became the only full time, board-certified pediatric neurosurgeon in Nevada, and the 5th pediatric neurosurgeon with Primary Children's Hospital team. She lives and works full time inLas Vegas and is now seeing patients in Las Vegas at two convenient office locations, with surgeries performed at Sunrise Children's Hospital.Dr. Bragg completed her undergraduate degree in Chemistry at the University of Chicago in 1996. She then attended Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago, IL, graduating magna cum laude in 2002. Following graduation, she completed a general surgery internship and neurological surgery residency at Loyola University Medical Center and simultaneously earned her Master's in Clinical Research Methods from Loyola University Chicago. In 2010, Dr. Bragg completed her pediatric neurosurgery fellowship at Primary Children's Medical Center, University of Utah.Prior to coming to Sunrise Children's, Dr. Bragg practiced for 6 years at the American Family Children's Hospital and the University of Wisconsin Hospitals & Clinics, in Madison, WI and 4 years at Phoenix Children's Hospital, Phoenix, AZ. In addition to a general pediatric neurosurgery practice, she served as the Director of the Spasticity and Movement Disorders Clinic at the Waisman Center in Madison, leading a multi-disciplinary team caring for children with cerebral palsy. Dr. Bragg served a similar role in the Complex Tone Clinic at Phoenix Children's Hospital. Dr. Bragg is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and the American Board of Pediatric Neurological Surgery. She is a member of numerous professional societies, including the American Society of Pediatric Neurosurgeons, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine. She continues to participate in academics, attending and speaking at national conferences, teachingnational board review courses, and maintains a commitment to education for hospital staff, students and the community.Dr. Bragg's passion is caring for children with disabilities, offering a variety of surgical interventions to treat spasticity, dystonia, and other movement disorders. She also has interest in children with hydrocephalus, spina bifida, Chiari malformation, spine abnormalities, tumor, and other neurological congenital abnormalities.
