Biography: Elsa-Grace V. Giardina, MD,MS is Professor of Medicine at the Columbia University Medical Center and Attending Physician at the New York Presbyterian Hospital. She trained as a non-invasive cardiologist, pharmaco-electrophysiologist and clinical pharmacologist all at Columbia University and recieved a Master's degree in metabolism from the Institute of Human Nutrition, College of Physicians & Surgeons. Her many honors include the Jane V. Myers Memorial Medical Scholarship from Bryn Mawr College, the PMA Faculty Development Award in Clinical Pharmacology, the American Heart Association Appreciation Award for community service, the American Medical Women's Association Gender Equity Award and she is a Trustee of the New York Academy of Medicine. She is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), the American College of Physicians (FACP), and the American Heart Association (FAHA). She was awarded the "Award of Excellence" by Governor George Pataki of New York State for research advancements on cardiac disease in women and for developing the Center for Women's Health at the Columbia University Medical Center. She received the Medal of Honor from New York Medical College for outstanding achievements and was named a Fellow of the Virginia Apgar Society, an honor bestowed on Columbia University faculty that recognizes individual achievement and commitment to education excellence. Dr. Giardina is a member of the Vagelos College of Physicians & Surgeons Academy of Clinical Excellence (ACE) and she has mentored more than 40 students, residents, fellows and young attendings in the specialty of cardiovascular disease, women's health and nutrition.

Biography: Dr. Catherine Shu isthe Price Family Associate Professor of Medicine anda board-certified medical oncologist specializing in the treatment of thoracic cancers, with a focus on lung cancer. She received her undergraduate degree from Princeton University, followed by her M.D. from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. After residency at Columbia University Medical Center, Dr. Shu completed her fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where she was appointed Chief Fellow. She currently serves as the Director of the Thoracic Medical Oncology Service. She has presented her work at numerous international conferences and has published in the top peer-reviewed oncology journals. She treats the entire spectrum of lung cancer, but has a particular interest in earlier stage and surgically resectable disease, specifically on drug combinations to help improve survival in this setting. Additionally, she devotes part of her research effort to patients with targetable mutations, helping to determine the best sequence of treatments. Of all her achievements, she is proudest to be able to offer individualized and compassionate care to each and every one of her patients. Biography: Dr. Ingham is Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology and Oncology at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center. He received his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School and completed internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at New York University Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. He then completed fellowship training in Hematology and Medical Oncology at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center where he served as Chief Fellow. Dr. Ingham specializes in the care of patients with sarcoma and gastrointestinal cancers and is also an active member of the experimental therapeutics unit. His research focuses on the development and clinical evaluation of new treatments for patients with sarcoma. He leads a National Cancer Institute (NCI) sponsored clinical trial evaluating a new treatment approach for uterine leiomyosarcoma based on research conducted at Columbia University. He also leads several other investigator-initiated clinical trials evaluating new targeted and immunotherapy based treatment approaches for leiomyosarcoma, liposarcoma and other types of sarcoma. He is the author of two recent authoritative reviews on the treatment of sarcoma published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology. He is the recipient of the 2019 Conquer Cancer Foundation of ASCO Career Development Award from the Sarcoma Foundation of America in recognition of his research and was also named a 2019 NextGen Innovator by HemOnc Today, among other awards and honors. His overall goal is to provide patients with compassionate oncologic care and access to the most promising treatment approaches.

Biography: Dr. Elaine Wan is the Esther Aboodi Associate Professor of Medicine in Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology at Columbia University Medical Center, College of Physicians and Surgeons and attending physician at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. She is trained in Internal Medicine, Clinical Cardiology and is an invasive cardiac electrophysiologist. She is the Director of Electrophysiology Research and oversees all electrophysiology clinical trials. She performs implantation of cardiac devices including pacemaker and defibrillators, as well as ablation of arrhythmias. Dr. Wan is a physician-scientist and focuses on development of novel treatments for heart failure, vascular dysfunction and arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation. She is a translational researcher also interested in development of innovative imaging modalities to improve ablation delivery. Dr. Wan is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Biography: Kelly Axsom, MD is a cardiologist, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with advanced heart failure including those requiring left ventricular assist device or cardiac transplantation. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, General Cardiology, Echocardiography, and Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation. Dr. Axsom received her medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical Center where she was also the Chief Medical Resident. She completed her Fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at NYU Medical Center where she served as Chief Fellow. Biography: Mathew S. Maurer, MD - Dr. Maurer is a general internist and geriatric cardiologist with advanced training in heart failure and cardiac transplantation. He is the Arnold and Arlene Goldstein Professor of Cardiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Vagelos College of Physicians & Surgeons, where directs the Clinical Cardiovascular Research Laboratory for the Elderly (CCRLE). Dr. Maurer is a member of the Advanced Cardiac Care Center at NewYork Presbyterian Hospital Columbia Campus. He is the Director of the Cardiac Amyloidosis Program.He has published over 300 articles including peer reviewed manuscripts, reviews and book chapters. He was Chair of the American College of Cardiology's Geriatric Cardiology Member Section, which is the largest organization dedicated to advancing the care of older adults with cardiovascular disease. He was co-chair of the Steering Committee of the ATTR-ACT trial showing tafamidis was a safe and effective therapy for transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy. Throughout his career, he has promulgated an approach to older adults with cardiovascular disease that offers the best of both geriatric and cardiovascular medicine in which a comprehensive holistic approach to enhance functional capacity and quality of life is at the forefront of emerging techniques to address cardiovascular physiologic derangement that disproportionately afflict older adults.

Biography: Dr. Usama Ahmed Ali is a colorectal surgeon who has expertise in the whole gamut of colorectal surgery, including minimally invasive and open colorectal surgical procedures, anorectal operations, and colonoscopy. He completed his medical training at Utrecht University in the Netherlands in 2007. He then did colorectal research as a PhD researcher and was a colorectal research fellow at the Cleveland Clinic in 2011 under the guidance of Dr. Pokala Ravi Kiran. He trained in general and colorectal surgery at the University Medical Center Utrecht and the St. Antonius Hospital in The Netherlands after which he worked as a general and colorectal surgeon in Riverieland Ziekenhuis in Tiel until 2022. Dr. Ahmed Ali has an interest in a wide spectrum of colorectal conditions including benign colorectal conditions, diverticular disease, colon and rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, polyposis and anorectal disorders such as hemorrhoids, abscesses and anal fistulas. Dr. Ahmed Ali trained extensively with Dr. Kiran and Dr. James Church. He works collaboratively with Dr. Church on complex fistula disease within the Anal Fistula Center and is part of the Hereditary Cancer and Familial Polyposis Center. He also works closely with Dr. Kiran in the management of various conditions including complex and reoperative colorectal surgery. Dr. Ahmed Ali has a double PhD in medicine, one of which is in the surgical treatment of inflammatory bowel disease. He also has a Masters in Evidence-Based Medicine from Oxford University. He is a Member of Dutch Society for Surgery and Dutch Society for Gastro-intestinal Surgery (2021).
