Biography: Bradley Weiner, MD, is an orthopedic spine surgeon practicing in Houston, Texas with the Center for Advanced Spine and Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Weiner did his undergraduate education at Allegheny College with a degree in Analytic Philosophy. He subsequently attended medical school and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Summa Health Systems in Akron, Ohio. He then completed a fellowship in Spine Surgery at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Adelaide, Australia. He has been the Principal Investigator or Medical Director on major basic science research programs aimed at orthopaedic tissue engineering and alternative diagnostics undertaken in the laboratory under his direction with extensive grant support via DARPA and the Department of Defense to develop novel treatments for severely injured soldiers. His clinical research is aimed at determining outcomes of surgical interventions for spinal disease, especially microsurgery. He has published over 200 papers and book chapters on these subjects; has won multiple research and teaching awards; and has served society and editorial roles nationally and internationally. His clinical practice is dedicated to the treatment of the broad spectrum of spinal disorders involving the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. He is a leader in minimally invasive spinal microsurgery. In 2023, Dr. Weiner joined HCA Houston Healthcare, serves as Medical Director of Spine Surgery, and founded the Center for Advanced Spine and Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Weiner welcomes new patients and referrals. The practice offers telehealth visits when appropriate.
