Biography: I am a med-peds doctor, meaning I trained to be a specialist for both kids and adults. I enjoy being able to provide care for patients of all ages and their families! I especially enjoy caring for teenagers and adults who were diagnosed with a chronic medical condition as children, such as type 1 diabetes, asthma, kidney disease, cystic fibrosis or childhood cancer. In addition to providing education and treatment for medical issues, I am also passionate about preventing illness through healthy lifestyle choices. I strive to incorporate the non-medical components that contribute to health and wellness, like nutrition, physical activity, mindfulness, work, stress and friends and family, into my practice.

An office visit could involve a routine checkup, managing chronic conditions or evaluating and treating an acute care need, but at each visit I strive to get to know my patients a little better. I also strive to explain what is going on with patients' health and provide multiple options for treatments (if needed) so they can make the most informed choices for their care.
