Biography: Abraham 'Billy' Hardee, III, DO, PhD, is aboard-certified family medicine physician with LewisGale Physicians in Blacksburg.He is an attending physician at an academic medicine clinic as part of theFamily Medicine Residency Program affiliated with LewisGale HospitalMontgomery. In this role, Dr. Hardee supervises resident physicians, trainingthem to be the next generation of physician leaders. Dr. Hardee graduated from the Edward Via College ofOsteopathic Medicine with a Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine, followed by a Doctoratein International Heath Education from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and StateUniversity. He completed his traditional rotation internship at GeisingerMedical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania, and his family medicine residency atLewisGale Hospital Montgomery. Dr. Hardee is board-certified by the AmericanOsteopathic Board of Family Physicians and serves as the chair of the RuralMedicine and Underserved Primary Care at the Edward Via College of OsteopathicMedicine. He is involved with numerous medical and community-basedorganizations including the Medical Society of Virginia's board of directors asa regional assistant, Medical Reserve Corps, Health Equality Collaborative of Virginia,NAACP member, and Gold Humanism Honor Society's faculty advisory. He hasparticipated in many domestic and international health brigades along withassisting in natural disaster relief. A native of Christiansburg, Dr. Hardee is a graduate ofVirginia Tech, where he played both football and baseball for the Hokies. He isa frequent guest speaker on topics related to medicine, diversity, motivation,spirituality, and education. Outside of the academic setting, he enjoys localoutdoor adventures with his family, fixing and working on projects, and workingwith youth at his local church.

Biography: Madiha Kamal, MD, MBBS, FACP, is a board-certified internal medicine physician with LewisGale Physicians in Christiansburg, Virginia. She is affiliated with LewisGale Hospital Montgomery where she serves as a core faculty member for the Internal Medicine Residency program. As an attending physician of an academic medicine clinic at LewisGale Physicians, she supervises resident physicians, training them to be the next generation of physician leaders, since July 2013.Dr. Kamal earned her Doctorate of Medicine from Aga Khan University Medical College, in Karachi, Pakistan, followed by an internship and residency in internal medicine from Saint Barnabas Medical Center, in Livingston, New Jersey.She was the recipient of the Frist Humanitarian Award in 2018 by LewisGale Hospital Montgomery and has also been recognized as the Teacher of the Year 2018-2019 by the Department of Graduate Medical Education.Dr. Kamal offers primary care services specializing in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of diseases in patients 18 and older. Some of her services include annual physical exams, diagnosis and management of acute and chronic medical conditions, and sick visits, with a focus on preventative medicine and women's health.Outside of the practice, Dr. Kamal enjoys spending time with her family, baking, exercising, and reading.
