Biography: Dr. Anup Gangavalli is a spine surgeon. He believes that orthopedic surgery is the perfect mix between engineering sciences and medicine. Throughout his life he's been inspired by both of these disciplines, ultimately choosing a career that treats both mechanical and biologic challenges of the human body. In his free time, he enjoys vintage motorcycle restoration, tennis, being a handyman and most of all family time.

Biography: Dr. Michael Mariscalco specializes in sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee, and shoulder replacement surgery. He played collegiate soccer and was previously drafted into Major League Soccer. As a former athlete, he understands how musculoskeletal problems can significantly affect patients, both physically and mentally. He listens to each patient and strives to provide individualized care while incorporating the latest technology.Dr. Mariscalco has been with the OrthoVirginia group in Richmond since completing his fellowship training in 2013. He is married and the proud father of four children. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with is family, hiking, biking and coaching youth soccer.

Biography: Dr. Mark Jones specializes in joint replacement surgeries, including minimally-invasive knee replacements and total hip and knee replacements. He is fellowship-trained and board-certified.
