Biography: Dr. David Sollaccio is a double board-certified orthopedic hand and upper extremity surgeon raised in Orlando, FL. He earned his undergraduate degree at Wake Forest University and his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Sollaccio completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at the University of Florida College of Medicine, contributing to the care for the Florida Gators athletics programs, followed by a fellowship in Hand and Microvascular Surgery at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. After building a thriving practice over eight years as a partner physician at Southern California Permanente Medical Group, he and his family relocated to the vibrant city of Houston, TX. Biography: Enrique J. Garcia-Pena, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Texas Bone & Joint and practices in Houston, Texas. Dr. Garcia-Pena was born and raised on the island of Puerto Rico and is a native Spanish speaker. He received a bachelor's degree in Biology from the prestigious University of Chicago and then obtained a Master's degree in Medical Sciences and Research from Boston University. He then returned home to Puerto Rico to continue his lifelong dream of practicing medicine and graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. Dr. Garcia-Pena completed his residency program in Orthopedic Surgery at one of the busiest trauma hospitals in the Caribbean and well-known throughout the region: the Medical Sciences Center from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine.Dr. Garcia-Pena completed his fellowship training at the Baylor College of Medicine and Ironman Sports Medicine Institute in Houston, Texas. Dr. Garcia-Pena served as assistant to the Team Physician of the Houston Texans, Houston Astros, Houston Rockets, Houston Dynamo, University of Houston Athletics, and area high schools.Dr. Garcia-Pena specializes in arthroscopic procedures and joint reconstruction of the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee with particular interest in sports medicine and helping patients maintain an active lifestyle. He focuses on building a strong patient-physician relationship and works closely with patients, therapists and trainers to optimize both surgical and non-surgical outcomes. Biography: Board certified and practices general orthopaedics with special interest in fracture management, arthroscopy, cartilage preservation and joint replacement. He has extensive experience in sports medicine, having completed a Fellowship in the discipline at Methodist Hospital in Houston, where he trained in advanced open and arthroscopic techniques for knee, shoulder, elbow and hip. He has worked as an assistant team physician to several professional teams in Houston: the Texans, Astros, Rockets and Dynamo, as well as for Rice University and HISD.In addition to his work with professional athletes, Dr. Lin has knowledge and expertise with orthopaedic injuries sustained by military personnel. During his residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, he was awarded commendation for research he conducted on those injuries sustained during Operation Enduring Freedom, which was published and presented at national meetings. Following residency, Dr. Lin served as an orthopaedic surgeon and Chief, Department of Surgery at Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital, which served the active duty, dependent and retiree population in and around Fort Polk, Louisiana (home of the Joint Readiness Training Center). He was also deployed during Operation Iraqi Freedom with the 31st Combat Support Hospital in 2007.Dr. Lin was born in Taiwan and raised in West Windsor, New Jersey.
