Biography: I am board-certified in hematology and medical oncology and take care of patients who have been diagnosed with a variety of blood disorders and cancers. I was drawn to the specialty because I wanted to deepen my understanding of the biology of cancer. Biography: Dr. Mark Burbridge earned his medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center in Fort Worth, TX. He completed his internal medicine residency as chief resident at Keesler Medical Center in Mississippi. Dr. Burbridge served in the US Air Force as an internal medicine physician. He completed his fellowship in hematology and oncology at the Medical University of South Carolina as chief fellow. Dr. Burbridge is board certified in internal medicine, hematology and oncology.

Biography: I see adult patients with blood disorders and cancers of all types. My approach to healthcare is to treat each person as I would members of my own family. I strongly believe involving patients in decisions about treatment and coordinating care with other physicians yields the best results. \n I have always loved to help people, and oncology gives me a unique opportunity to do that in a way that is rewarding to me. I get to know patients and care for them during a challenging time in their lives. \n Helping cancer patients requires a team effort, and I am grateful to be working alongside such a wonderful team of doctors and nurses. \n In 2012, I moved to Charlotte. I enjoy spending my spare time with my husband Kam and son Cyrus. We travel together, explore new restaurants, play board games, swim and spend time with extended family. I also love to read and play badminton with Cyrus.

Biography: Dr. Nikhil Patel is originally from Mississippi. He is Board Certified in Hematology, Oncology, and Internal medicine. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the American Society of Hematology (ASH). He is also a member of the AMA and ACP.His hobbies and interests include spending time with his family, listening to audiobooks, watching movies, reading, cooking, and golfing.
