At Weill Cornell Medicine, Dr. Lin aims to bring his expertise in avant garde surgical techniques and treatment options, such HIPEC, to serve the patients at Cornell. His clinical interests include novel surgical techniques, patient-centered care, and clinical outcomes research.Dr. Lin is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology.

Biography: Dr. Ja Hyun Shin is the Director of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery and has expertise in advanced laparoscopic and robotic procedures. She is passionate about helping women who suffer from endometriosis, fibroids, adenomyosis, and other pelvic pain and bleeding disorders. She is dedicated to providing women with the least invasive but most effective treatment options, which include both surgical and non-surgical approaches. Dr. Shin completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbia University Medical Center followed by a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center. She completed additional training in robotic surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center, after which she joined the Division of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery. During her time at Montefiore Medical Center, Dr. Shin served as the Director of Pelvic Pain and Multidisciplinary Resident Robotic Training and was the Associate Director of the Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Fellowship Program. Within these roles, Dr. Shin focused on the education and training of residents, fellows, and faculty in performing safe minimally invasive surgeries. Dr. Shin is committed to practicing evidence-based medicine and providing her patients with the most current information to optimize the decision-making process. She sits on numerous national committees and is active in research activities to help establish best practice guidelines, improve surgical techniques, and reduce surgical complications. Biography: Dr. Long Nguyen is a board certified Obstetrics & Gynecology physician specializing in Gynecological Oncology practicing at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Queens located in Forest Hills, NY. He received his medical degree from Ho Chi Minh City Medicine and Pharmacy University, completed his internship in General Surgery, residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology and fellowship in Gynecological Oncology. Dr. Nguyen is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Nguyen focuses on detection and treatment of gynecologic malignancies by all modalities with interests on robotic-assisted minimally invasive surgery as well as chemotherapy. Dr. Nguyen has authored a dozen of abstracts, book chapters, and articles on gynecologic oncology. He is member of the Society of Gynecologic Oncology, American Congress of Obstetrician and Gynecologists, American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and American Society of Clinical Oncology.

Biography: Dr. Tirsit Asfaw is a Urogynecologist who specializes in the care of women with pelvic floor weakness resulting in conditions such as pelvic organ prolapse and bladder dysfunction. The network of pelvic structures which normally support a woman's uterus, bladder and rectum may weaken with progressing age, childbirth, obesity and other factors resulting in conditions such as cystocele, rectocele, uterine prolapse, urinary incontinence and bladder dysfunction.Dr. Asfaw offers comprehensive care for women with the above conditions. Her modes of treatment include robotic, abdominal, vaginal reconstructive surgery as well as medical and surgical treatment for urinary incontinence.
