Care Philosophy: Dr. Hafner completed residency training in reconstructive foot & ankle surgery at the Yale - New Haven Medical Center. Dr. Hafner has been published for his original research. His training at Yale has given him an abundance of experience in elective, reconstructive and trauma procedures of the foot and ankle. He is board certified with the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and is on staff at UVA Prince William Medical Center, Reston Hospital Center, Stone Springs Hospital Center, Reston Surgery Center, Stone Springs Surgery Center and INOVA Loudoun Hospital. Dr. Hafner has recieved multiple distinctions of being named one of Northern Virginia Magazine's Top Doctors. His most recent recognitions include 2022, 2023 & 2024. Dr Hafner's approach to treating patients is through use of compassion and respect. Biography: A native Virginian, Dr. Amanda Trucksess attended The College of William and Mary where she was a member of their Division I swim team. With a strong interest in athletics as well as human biomechanics and physiology, Dr. Trucksess graduated cum laude with a major in kinesiology. She went on to earn her medical degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond where she was named to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Following medical school, she completed a four year residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (known as physiatry) is a sub-specialty of medicine that focuses on the restoration of function and the non-operative treatment of nerve, muscle, and bone disorders. Dr. Trucksess chose this specialty because it allowed her to integrate her interest in human physiology with her passion for patient care.
