Biography: James J. Klosterman, MD joined Premier Orthopedics in 1997 after fulfilling his service commitment in the United States Air Force. He is a graduate of the University of Dayton and the Cincinnati College of Medicine, and completed his residency in Orthopaedic Medicine at the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Klosterman provides operative care for a broad set of orthopaedic conditions, including arthroscopy of the knee and shoulder and joint replacement of the hip, shoulder and knee. He is credentialed to offer the Uniknee™ replacement option to suitable candidates. Dr. Klosterman is a member of the UD Sports Medicine Staff. He is well respected in the Miami Valley and acts as the orthopaedic consultant to area high school and club athletic programs. In 2007, Dr. Klosterman was selected as the Collegiate Team Physician of the Year by the Ohio Athletic Trainers Association. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Klosterman holds an appointment as an Assistant Clinical Professor, Wright State University School of Medicine. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, and a member of the American College of Sports Medicine and the Ohio State Medical Association.

Biography: Matthew A. Dorweiler, MD is a graduate of Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, NE. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, OH and his orthopedic surgery sports medicine fellowship from The Ohio State University. Dr. Dorweiler is board certified in orthopedic surgery.

Biography: John Powell, MD, earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Powell has served as Commander/Orthopaedic Surgeon with the 655th Forward Surgical Team, Forward Operating Base Ghazni, Afghanistan, and was the Orthopaedic Surgery Flight Commander, 88th Medical Group, Wright Patterson Medical Center. Dr. Powell specializes in orthopedic surgery. He is a Fellow in the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgery and a Member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.

Biography: Anthony J. Checroun, MD is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and is a fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He specializes in shoulder pathology, including athletic, traumatic and degenerative conditions; shoulder arthroscopy and shoulder replacement surgery; sports medicine; and general orthopedics. He completed a shoulder fellowship at the Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopedic Institute in New York City, and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Medical College of Ohio. Dr. Checroun earned his medical degree from Indiana University. Dr. Checroun speaks English and French.

Biography: Paul A. Krebs, MD graduated from Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. He completed the Wright State University Family Medicine Residency Program and The Ohio State University Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship Program. Dr. Krebs is board certified in sports medicine. He has a special interest in interventional ultrasound procedures, platelet rich plasma (PRP) injections, and the care of endurance athletes. Dr. Krebs is a member of American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, American College of Sports Medicine, Alpha Omega Alpha Member, and Gold Humanism Honor Society Chapter at the Boonshoft School of Medicine. Dr. Krebs is a Credentialed ImPACT® Consultant trained in treating concussions as well as administering and interpreting the ImPACT® test.Dr. Krebs participates in Premier Health'sRunningMedicine and Performance Program.He can help you get back torunningafter an injury and on the path to optimized performance.

Biography: Thomas R. Zink, DO graduated from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, OH. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, OH. He completed a shoulder and elbow fellowship at the University of Pittsburg Medical Center in Pittsburg, PA. Dr. Zink is board certified in orthopedic surgery. He is a member of several organizations including the American Osteopathic Association, American Academy of Osteopathy, National Guard Association of the United States, Ohio Osteopathic Association, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Ohio Orthopaedic Society, and the American Medical Association. Dr. Zink is a Captain in the Ohio Army National Guard. He is the team physician for Troy City Schools. He is the Upper Valley Medical Center orthopedic department chair and Upper Valley Medical Center orthopedic trauma liaison. Dr. Zink has a special interest in knee arthroscopy and replacement, and shoulder arthroscopy, anatomic, reverse, revision, and replacement surgery.
