Care Philosophy: John D. Reeves, MD, is a neurosurgeon at Spectrum Neurosurgery, part of Willis Knighton Health in Shreveport, Louisiana. A Shreveport native, he graduated from LSUHSC-New Orleans School of Medicine in 1984. Dr. Reeves did a general surgery residency at the Shreveport LSUHSC campus before returning to New Orleans for a second residency in neurosurgery. His fellowship was in Switzerland at University Hospital of Zurich, working under world renowned cerebrovascular and brain tumor neurosurgeon Dr. M. Gazi Yasargil. Dr. Reeves is board certified in neurological surgery (American Board of Neurological Surgery). Away from the clinic, Dr. Reeves enjoys spending time with his wife, Jamie Woodruff Reeves, and their two grown daughters. Biography: Dr. Moritz graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, and earned his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. After completing a residency in orthopedic surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University, he moved to New Orleans where he completed a fellowship in sports medicine and reconstructive surgery of the knee and shoulder at Ochsner Clinic Foundation. During his time in New Orleans, he was an assistant team physician for the NFL New Orleans Saints and the NBA New Orleans Hornets. In addition to his surgical practice he is part of the Willis-Knighton Sports Medicine team. Prior to joining Bossier Orthopedics, he was part of The Bone & Joint Clinic, practicing with Dr. William S. Bundrick Sr..

Biography: John Ferrell, MD, performs othropedic surgery at The Orthopaedic Clinic, part of the Willis-Knighton Health System in Shreveport, Louisiana. He served many youth patients during his decades of practice, including his years on the medical staff at Shriners Hospital for Children in Shreveport. He previously was a partner at Mid South Orthopedics & Sports Medicine and was an associate clinic professor at LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport School of Medicine.Dr. Ferrell began his education at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana, followed by medical school at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. In Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Ferrell completed his internship and residency at Georgia Baptist Scottish Rite. He was a U.S. Olympic swim team physician.He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery. Today Dr. Ferrell is a member of Louisiana State Medical Society, Shreveport Medical Society and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
