Care Philosophy: Amita Singh, MD, MS is an assistant professor in the department of neurology at the University of Florida College of Medicine.She earned two bachelor'??s degrees, one in psychology and another physiology and neurobiology, from the University of Maryland. Then, she went on to achieve a master'??s degree from Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH and her medical degree from the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta. After graduation, she pursued her neurology residency and vascular neurology fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle, where she was the chief resident in neurology.Dr. Singh is board-certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and she is currently licensed to practice medicine in both Florida and Washington State. She is passionate about medical education and clinical quality improvement in neurology. Her clinical interests include secondary stroke prevention and patient education.
