Biography: Jon Williams, DO, Ph.D, is a graduate of Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA. He went on to complete his neurology residency at Joint Base San Antonio in San Antonio, TX and a fellowship in Autoimmune Neurology at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT. He is board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Williams served in the U.S. Air Force for 15 years and was previously the Chief of Neurology at Wright-Patterson Medical Center. He is an assistant professor at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. Dr. Williams is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Neurological Association, the Autoimmune Encephalitis Alliance, and he is active in the local chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. His research interests include central nervous system glial cell biology in the context of neurological autoimmunity, the clinical epidemiology of neuroimmunology, and exploration of novel treatments for multiple sclerosis and other immune-mediated disorders.
