He completed his residency in Family Practice at Forbes Health System and a transitional year at Hamot Hospital. Board-certified by the American Board of Family Practice, Dr. Schaefer holds additional qualifications in Geriatric Medicine and Sports Medicine. Dr. Schaefer has served as a Locum Tenens Primary Care Physician with SeniorLife in York, PA. His extensive experience includes serving as Medical Director at the Veterans Community Based Outpatient Center in Washington, PA, and as a Family Physician at Somerset Family Practice. He has also held significant roles as Medical Director at The Patriot Skilled Nursing Facility and Baldwin Health Center. Dr. Schaefer is known for his strong emphasis on wellness and preventive strategies, ensuring comprehensive care for his patients.
