Biography: Abdallah Mahrous, MD is an Assistant Professor in Ophthalmology at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Attending Physician at New York Presbyterian Hospital. He is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in vitreo-retinal surgery, a sub-specialty focused on diseases of the posterior segment of the eye including the vitreous cavity and the retina.Dr. Mahrous completed his two-year fellowship in vitreo-retinal surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine and New York Presbyterian Hospital. During his fellowship training Dr. Mahrous gained broad clinical and surgical experience treating patients across Weill Cornell Medicine clinics, New York Presbyterian Hospitals of Weill Cornell, Lower Manhattan, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital.Prior to his fellowship training Dr. Mahrous completed a three-year ophthalmology residency also at Weill Cornell Medicine and New York Presbyterian Hospital where he gained exposure to various pathology across the New York Presbyterian Hospitals as well as Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital. Biography: Dr. C. Gustavo De Moraes is an Associate Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology at the Columbia University Medical Center and Attending Physician at New York Presbyterian Hospital. He sees patients with or at risk of developing glaucoma. His primary research interests are in novel techniques for glaucoma diagnosis, detection of progression, and treatment. Based on his research, Dr. De Moraes has been ranked among the top 10 glaucoma experts in the world, as cited at Expertscape.com. Dr. De Moraes completed a glaucoma fellowship at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary (NYEEI), later directing the Glaucoma Research Unit at the Einhorn Clinical Research Center of the NYEEI. He was also a Research Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at New York University (NYU). Dr. De Moraes is a member of the American Medical Association (AMA), American College of Surgeons (ACS), American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO), American Glaucoma Society (AGS), New York Glaucoma Society (NYGS), Ophthalmic Laser and Imaging Society (OLIS). He is past chair of the Associate Advisory Board of the World Glaucoma Association (WGA), and Education Committee of the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO). Dr. De Moraes is the current Associate Editor for the journalInvestigative Ophthalmology and Vision Sciences (IOVS), and co-chair of Glaucoma Progression Scholas (GPS). He has published over 250 articles in peer-reviewed journals and serves as a reviewer of the editorial boards of some journals with highest impact factor in the field of Ophthalmology. He has authored/ co-authored 5 book chapters in Ophthalmology and Glaucoma, as well as the Consensus on Medical Treatment and Consensus on Glaucoma Progression of the WGA. Dr. De Moraes has twice received the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) Achievement Award. His clinical research has beenfunded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and Research to Prevent Blindness (RPB). Biography: Dr. Paddock received his medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College in 2017. He completed his residency at Brown University and his Fellowship in Neuro-Ophthalmology at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York, New York. During his residency, Dr. Paddock served as chief resident and won numerous teaching awards, including the Rhode Island Hospital Department of Neurology Chief Resident Teaching Award and the Clinical Neurosciences Clerkship-Neurology Resident Teaching Award from the Warren Alpert Medical College at Brown University. He is excited to join his mentors, Drs. Marc Dinkin and Cristiano Oliveira, in the Neuro-Ophthalmology Service.Dr. Paddock has conducted research in novel treatment modalities for central retinal artery occlusion, and his areas of research interest include central retinal artery occlusion, idiopathic intracranial hypertension, and neuroimaging findings in headache with visual symptoms.

Biography: Dr. Khan began his training in Texas, earning his undergraduate degree summa cum laude with honors from Baylor University and then completing his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine. He then pursued an internship in General Surgery at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, followed by Ophthalmology residency and Vitreoretinal Surgery fellowship at Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Khan served as chief resident during his residency at Weill Cornell, reflecting his leadership and expertise. After his fellowship training in Vitreoretinal Surgery he was recruited to join the faculty at the Weill Cornell Medical College where he serves as Associate Professor of Ophthalmology.Dr. Khan's clinical focus includes complex vitreoretinal surgeries and the treatment of age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment and more. His research spans retinal imaging and bioinformatics, and he participates in clinical trials within ophthalmology and retina. He has been involved in numerous studies and has authored over 30 scientific publications. Dr. Khan has delivered lectures nationally and continues to participate in vitreoretinal surgery conferences worldwide to further advance the field.
