Biography: Dr. Nikhil Uppal is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College in the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology. He is the Site Director for Hematology/Oncology at NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital. He has experience with clinical and translational research studies and a special interest in pancreatic malignancies and lymphomas. Dr. Uppal sees patients at both the Weill Cornell Upper East Side and Lower Manhattan Campuses, and is accepting new patients.Dr. Uppal completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Rochester and his Hematology/Oncology fellowship at Strong Memorial University Hospital. Prior to joining Weill Cornell Medicine, Dr. Uppal worked for New York University Langone Arena Oncology. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the American Society of Hematology (ASH).

Following her residency at Boston University Medical Center, she completed a three-year fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Prior to joining Weill Cornell Medicine, Dr. Taiwo served as Assistant Professor of Medicine at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn from July 2011-2019, and as Attending Physician and Site Director for the Hematology-Oncology Fellowship Program at Kings County Hospital. While at Kings County Hospital, she served in a leadership role as Director of the Breast Cancer Clinic, overseeing the operations, research activities, clinical care delivery, and education. As a researcher, Dr. Taiwo has contributed to a number of studies on cancer presentation in urban and minority patient populations.
