He believes in individualized care plans and that by making sure every patient knows what to expect before surgery he can improve recovery and reduce suffering.

Biography: Dr. Donald J. Martin is a Kansas City native. He received his undergraduate degree from Boston College and his medical degree from Creighton University. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at Wright-Patterson Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Martin achieved the rank of Major and served four years overseas in the Medical Corps of the United States Air Force. He completed his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. He joined Gastrointestinal Associates in 2016.
