Biography: Dr. K.C. Owsley is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. He has a particular interest in arthroscopy and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, elbow, knee and ankle. A native of Escondido, California, Dr. Owsley graduated from San Pasqual High School and went on to receive dual degrees in Philosophy and Zoology from Brigham Young University. He received his Medical Doctorate with honors from Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York and remained in New York for his residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Upon graduating from residency, Dr. Owsley completed a sports medicine fellowship at the prestigious Kerlan Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles. While there, he worked as part of the medical staff for the L.A. Dodgers, L.A. Lakers, L.A. Angels, L.A. Galaxy, L.A. Sparks Anaheim Ducks, USC Football and many high school, college and amateur athletes. He is a candidate member of the American Academy Association of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) and the Arthroscopy Association of North America (ANNA). Dr. Owsley lives in San Diego with his wife and is a proud father of two boys and two girls. He enjoys skiing, surfing, cycling and spending time outdoors with his family.

Biography: Dr. Brad Cohen is a board certified Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in sports related injuries and joint replacement surgery. In addition to his residency training in Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Cohen has advanced Fellowships in both arthroscopy and sports medicine, with an emphasis on minimally invasive procedures. (His fellowship emphasized arthroscopic cases involving predominantly knees and shoulders. ) Dr. Cohen also served as a Chief Resident at the New England Baptist Hospital in Boston performing joint replacement surgery. Dr. Cohen has been practicing Orthopedic Surgery in San Diego since 1998. He serves as an active faculty member of the San Diego Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Fellowship. During his career, Dr. Cohen has been involved in the training of over 45 fellows and has extensive experience teaching post graduate surgeons to perform complex procedures including ligament reconstructions of the knees, rotator cuff surgeries, as well as hip, knee, and shoulder replacements. Dr. Cohen is proud to have received many awards over the past several years, including excellence in patient satisfaction at Palomar Pomerado Hospital and within Sharp Community Medical Group. He was recently a Nationally Rated Top Physician. Dr. Cohen is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He graduated with top academic honors and special recognition in Orthopedic Surgery from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Dr. Cohen completed his internship and residency at New England Medical Center, Tufts University, in Boston. He moved to San Diego in 1997 for his fellowship at UCSD, following which he was invited to remain on clinical faculty. Dr. Cohen is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and is an active member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America. Dr. Cohen lives in Poway with his wife and four children. He is active in the local little league and tennis communities.

Biography: Dr. Thomas Knutson is a board-certified physician specializing in the treatment of knee, shoulder and hip injuries. He attended Loma Linda University School of Medicine where he completed his Medical Degree and Residency in Orthopedics. Upon finishing his residency, Dr. Knutson went on to complete a fellowship in Major Joint Reconstruction at the University of California San Diego. Over his 30 years of experience practicing medicine, Dr. Knutson has helped countless patients heal musculoskeletal injuries. He finds great satisfaction in stabilizing broken bones and restoring worn-out joints allowing his patients to get back to their normal activities. Dr. Knutson grew up in Columbus, Wisconsin and moved to California to complete his medical education. He enjoys being a part of the San Diego community and in his spare time takes advantage of the California sun by participating in scuba diving and water sports. Some of Dr. Knutson's other hobbies include traveling, snow skiing, hiking, maintaining his salt-water aquarium and spending time with his lovely wife, three sons and six grandchildren.

Biography: Dr. Daniel Barba grew up in Detroit area of Michigan and graduated from Michigan State University, College of Human Medicine, East Lansing, MI in 2007. After completing his internship and residency at the University of Buffalo, NY in 2012 Dr. Barba moved to La Jolla, CA to complete his fellowship at the Scripps Clinic/San Diego Center for Spinal Disorders in 2013. Dr. Barba joined Arch Health Partners in 2013, bringing his philosophy of treating patients as individuals will always foster good outcomes. Dr. Barba became a doctor to have the opportunity to serve his community and found the practice intellectually and emotionally gratifying. He specializes in Spine Surgery and is proficient in medical Spanish. In his free time Dr. Barba enjoys running, soccer, martial arts, traveling and cooking.
