Biography: Dr. Long Nguyen is a board certified Obstetrics & Gynecology physician specializing in Gynecological Oncology practicing at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Queens located in Forest Hills, NY. He received his medical degree from Ho Chi Minh City Medicine and Pharmacy University, completed his internship in General Surgery, residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology and fellowship in Gynecological Oncology. Dr. Nguyen is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Nguyen focuses on detection and treatment of gynecologic malignancies by all modalities with interests on robotic-assisted minimally invasive surgery as well as chemotherapy. Dr. Nguyen has authored a dozen of abstracts, book chapters, and articles on gynecologic oncology. He is member of the Society of Gynecologic Oncology, American Congress of Obstetrician and Gynecologists, American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and American Society of Clinical Oncology.

Care Philosophy: "I believe that pregnancy is a natural if unique phase in a woman's life. My job is to assure that each pregnancy is proceeding normally and intervene if it is not. Many pregnancies are medically straightforward. Some, such as twins or triplets, may be complex from the outset. In others, problems such as high blood pressure or pre-term labor may develop. I am fortunate to practice at the Weill Cornell campus of the New York Presbyterian Hospital where the latest technologies and superbly trained specialists are only a few steps or a phone call away. I still find each pregnancy and delivery extraordinary and exciting. "I chose to practice Ob/Gyn because I am able to care for women through the many stages of their reproductive lives. During my years of training and practice, I have developed several areas of special interest and expertise within gynecology. These include: - Minimally invasive gynecologic surgery including laparoscopic hysterectomy - Management and treatment (medical and surgical)of uterine fibroids - Evaluation and treatment of abnormal PAP smears Advances in pharmacology and surgical technology now offer multiple avenues for treatment of these and other gynecologic problems. Biography: Dr. Alexandra LeBental was born and raised in New Jersey before completing her undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis. She remained at Washington University to obtain her Master of Public Health degree with a focus on epidemiology and biostatistics. She then received her medical degree from Tulane University in New Orleans. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Temple University in Philadelphia. She was selected and served as the Administrative Chief Resident during her final year of training. She received the following awards during her tenure as resident: Recognition of Excellence in Resident Research, Recognition of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology, and Award for Excellence in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.After completing her residency, she worked for a hospital-based faculty practice in the Bronx before joining the Weill Cornell faculty to provide excellent patient-centered care for the full range of obstetric and gynecologic care. She is board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
