Biography: Originally from the Ukraine, Dr. Kotlyarevska, graduated from Dnepropetrovsk State Medical Academy in Ukraine and completed a residency in pediatrics with focus on adolescent medicine and growth and puberty disorders. After immigrating to US, she did a general pediatrics residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY and subsequently completed a fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology at University of Michigan. She is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology. Dr. Kotlyarevska works in close collaboration with the pediatric endocrinology division at UNC. She is an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics. She has been practicing as a pediatric endocrinologist since 2009. As part of her fellowship training Dr. Kotlyarevska pursued research training. The focus of her research was the growth hormone role in the development of diabetic kidney disease. Her clinical interests include diabetes, growth disorders and pubertal disorders.
