Biography: Dr. Ashford is a 2010 graduate of the LSU School of Medicine Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program. Dr. Ashford was recognized for his selection of Chief Resident for the year 2009-2010. He was also recognized as having the best obstetrics and gynecology research project; ``Advancing Minimally Invasive Gynecology Worldwide,`` and as a result Dr. Ashford has been selected for special resident in Minimally Invasive Gynecology. Dr. Ashford received a 2010 membership by the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopist. Dr. Ashford graduated from Xavier University of New Orleans in Biology/Pre Medicine in 2002 and LSU School of Medicine, New Orleans Louisiana in 2006.

Biography: Lian Chen, MD is an OB/GYN physician specializing in full spectrum women's health care. She attended The Ohio State University for her undergraduate studies where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. Dr. Chen completed medical school at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in New Orleans. She then went on to complete her OB/GYN internship and residency at TriHealth in Cincinnati, Ohio. As an Alexandria, LA native, she is excited to serve the women of Central Louisiana. Some of her special interests include normal and high-risk obstetrics, adolescent gynecology, contraceptive care and counseling, and robotic surgery using the da Vinci surgical platform. Dr. Chen is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and the American Medical Association. Outside of medicine, she enjoys cooking, fitness, hiking, Cajun dancing, knitting, playing the piano, NCAA football, the New Orleans Saints, and spending time with her family and friends.
