Biography: Dr. Raymond Ropiak grew up in Staten Island, New York, but has spent the last 10 years making the Delaware Valley his home. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Boston College before completing his medical school and Orthopedic Residency at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He then went on to do a Fellowship in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at the Rothman Institute at Thomas Jefferson where his mentors included Dr. Gerald Williams, Dr. John Fenlin, Dr. Mark Lazarus, Dr. Barbara Frieman, Dr. Matthew Ramsey, and Dr. Charles Getz . Training in Philadelphia, Dr. Ropiak saw the number of people from New Jersey willing to travel into the city for Orthopedic care and wanted to bring that Shoulder and Elbow expertise to them. Dr. Ropiak specializes in Total Shoulder replacement as well as Reverse Shoulder Replacement. He is also trained in arthroscopic and open shoulder repair and stabilization, including rotator cuff repair, throwing injuries and fractures. In addition to shoulder ailments, Dr. Ropiak treats a variety of operative and non-operative elbow injuries.
