Biography: Dr. Timothy Wang is a leading expert in gastroenterology cancer research and patient care. His research specifically focuses on transgenic/ knockout mice, stem cells, lineage tracing, bone marrow-derived cells, and FACS analysis of immune/epithelial cells in the gut. His laboratory has for decades investigated the molecular mechanisms of gastrointestinal carcinogenesis, and has been continuously funded by the NIH for 29 years and by the NCI for 14 years. His lab has worked for many years on the role of inflammation in promoting gastrointestinal neoplasia, including colon cancer. His research has defined key roles for stromal cells in tumor development, including myeloid cells. Dr. Wang is the GI Division Chief at Columbia and serves as Co-leader of the Tumor Biology and Microenvironment Program of the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center. He also serves as director of the Columbia University NCI U54 Tumor Microenvironment (TMEN) program and directs the Barretts Esophageal Translational Research Network (BETRNet) program and the Intestinal Stem Cell Consortium (ISCC) at Columbia. In addition to his leadership at Columbia, Dr. Wang has served as President of the American Gastroenterology Association (AGA). His work has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Outstanding Investigator Award from the NCI, the Irene and Arthur Fishberg Prize for medical research, the Ruth Leff Siegel Award for pancreatic cancer research, and the William Beaumont Prize in Gastroenterology from the AGA. Over his career, he has organized numerous conferences, including conferences on Gastrin, Regulatory Peptides, AACR Symposium on Gastric Cancer, Tumor Microenvironment, and Keystone Conferences.

Biography: Dr. Lentzsch is a Professor of Clinical Medicine and the Director of the Multiple Myeloma and Amyloidosis Program at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University and at New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York. She is at New York Presbyterian Hospital/ Columbia University Medical Center. After receiving her degrees from the Humboldt University/ Charit Berlin, Germany, she completed her residency and fellowship at Humboldt University. Her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology was completed at Tulane University, followed by a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology and Breast Disease at the Women & Infants Hospital/Brown University.Dr. Cantillo's practice encompasses the surgical and medical management of the broad spectrum of gynecologic malignancies including uterine, ovary, cervix, vulva, and vagina. Biography: Dr. Laura S. Munoz Arcos is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Assistant Attending Physician at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.Dr. Munoz Arcos earned her medical degree from Universidad del Valle in Colombia, her home country. She then completed an internal medicine residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY, followed by a Hematology and Oncology fellowship at Weill Cornell Medicine/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, where she served as Chief Fellow in her final year. During her fellowship, Dr. Munoz Arcos gained extensive clinical experience in treating all types of breast cancer while conducting translational research on liquid biopsy in breast cancer at Dr. Massimo Cristofanilli's laboratory. Her research focuses on identifying predictors of response to therapy in hormone receptor-sensitive metastatic breast cancer. In recognition of her work, she received the 2023 Conquer Cancer American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Young Investigator Award, a prestigious honor granted to only 100 recipients annually. He subsequently earned his MD and PhD from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He then joined the Weill Cornell Medicine Physician Scientist Training Program where he completed his internal medicine residency and hematology / medical oncology fellowship. During his last year of fellowship, Dr. Parang served as Chief Fellow. As a member of the Weill Cornell Medicine faculty, Dr. Parang is a physician-scientist whose clinical and research interests are focused on lung cancer drug resistance and metastases.
