Biography: I have been with HealthPartners since 1991.

Biography: I practice general outpatient internal medicine. This means that I treat adults with nonsurgical health concerns. I enjoy getting to know people over time as I help them stay up to date on preventive medicine, control any medical problems that they have, and treat any illnesses that they develop. I have experience working as a doctor in Illinois, where I focused a lot on managing high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol and depression. My favorite part of being a doctor is getting to know people as unique individuals and working together to help them achieve their goals.

Biography: As an internist, I enjoy taking care of patients with a variety of conditions, including heart disease, kidney disease and lung issues. I have a special interest in treating people with diabetes. I am dedicated to guiding patients to help them make choices and decisions that lead to healthier lives. I chose to practice at the HealthPartners Woodbury Clinic because of the outstanding physicians here. When I am not working, I enjoy gardening, sewing, downhill skiing and participating in a yearly triathlon.

Biography: Early in my career, I started delivering babies and working in pediatrics. As a family practice doctor, I enjoy working with many types of people and areas of medicine, and I especially like working with the elderly. Throughout the years, I have come to see that people are on a journey, going through various stages, learning to cope with different stressors, and I want to help them progress in a healthy way. Patients have many transitions in life, and I want to be there with them wherever they are on their journey. Some of my specialty areas include endocrinology, diabetes, mental health, chronic ulcers and wound care. Patients say one thing they appreciate about me is how I take time to listen to their concerns and find out who they are as people, understanding their obstacles and goals in life. I use communication and personalized goal-setting to help my patients overcome their problems. I also take a team approach, working with nurses, specialists and others to provide the best possible care. In my free time, I enjoy being with my family. I have four kids, and I have been involved in formal activities such as Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. I play the violin, and I support my kids' musical activities as well. We also like hiking and being out in nature. I am a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP).
