Serving patients throughout Los Angeles and Ventura counties, Dr. Carroll specializes in the surgical treatment of adults with cardiovascular and lung diseases and conditions.Dr. Carroll graduated from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He went on to complete his residency in integrated thoracic surgery at UT Health San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas. Among several awards earned during his residency was first place in the Aust Society Annual Clinical Research resident competition. Prior to entering the field of medicine, Dr. Carroll earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and, upon graduating, joined Teach for America where he taught elementary school in Houston, Texas. Dr. Carroll most recently worked at Swedish Healthcare where he helped develop the robotic thoracic surgery program. He is certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and is an active member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and the J. Bradley Aust Surgical Society. He has numerous publications and abstracts in medical journals related to the fields of cardiovascular and thoracic care. When he is not practicing medicine, Dr. Carroll enjoys hiking, running, traveling, and spending time with his family.
