Care Philosophy: The world of medicine and health has become increasingly complex. I feel that Family Medicine physicians are uniquely positioned to not only help guide patients through the complicated landscape that is health care, but to also see how a person's family, friends, and community help shape their health care decisions. I try to incorporate shared decision making in everything I do. I want my patients to know that they have a say in their care. I also try to educate my patients about their disease process so they have an understanding of why we prescribe certain medications and lifestyle modifications.
