Biography: Koji Takeda, MD, PhD is a cardiac surgeon and Surgical Director for Adult Heart Transplant at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Dr. Takeda has a focus on heart failure, heart transplant surgery and mechanical circulatory support through ventricular assist devices (VADs). In addition to his clinical work, he is an active researcher in all of these areas, as well as in cardiac regeneration therapy. Dr. Takeda completed his medical training, post-graduate training, residency and fellowship in Osaka, Japan, after which he completed an advanced cardiovascular surgery fellowship at Northwestern University, Chicago. He is the recipient of multiple honors and awards including the American College of Chest Physicians Award, Japan Branch, 2009; and chief resident award and best resident award, 2005, at the National Cardiovascular Center, Osaka, Japan.

Biography: Dr. William Prabhu is an interventional cardiologist at Columbia. He graduated from SUNY Upstate medical school at Syracuse in 2009. He completed residency and a chief residency at UVM medical center from 2009-2012. He then completed general cardiology, interventional cardiology, structural heart and peripheral vascular fellowships at Brown University from 2013-2018. From 2018-2021 he practiced primarily in Rockland county performing the highest volume of cardiac catheterizations, PCIs, and TAVRs in the county during his time there. In 2022, he joined the faculty at Columbia's Interventional Cardiovascular Care program. Along with his busy clinical responsibilities, Dr. Prabhu participates in multiple randomized controlled trials as part of his academic work with CUIMC.Dr. Prabhu performs cardiac catheterizations, peripheral vascular, and structural heart procedures at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He is the Associate Director of the cardiac Cath lab at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital. Dr. Prabhu takes pride in bringing modern cardiac interventional techniques and advanced treatments for coronary artery disease, structural heart disease, peripheral vascular disease and pulmonary embolism to Westchester County.

Biography: Dr. Srirama Kalapatapu is a clinical cardiologists at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital / Columbia University Medical Center and the Chief of Cardiology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital. He is a Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Kalapatapu received his Doctor of Medicine from Siddhartha Medical College in India. Biography: Dr. Elaine Wan is the Esther Aboodi Associate Professor of Medicine in Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology at Columbia University Medical Center, College of Physicians and Surgeons and attending physician at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. She is trained in Internal Medicine, Clinical Cardiology and is an invasive cardiac electrophysiologist. She is also the Chairperson-elect for the American Heart Association Committee on Arrhythmia and Electrophysiology. Dr. Wan is the recipient of numerous national and international awards including NIH R01s, R03, K08, the 2016 American College of Cardiology Young Investigator Award First Place in Molecular Cellular Cardiology, 2016 Young Physician Investigator Award from the American Society of Clinical Investigators, 2016 Cardiostim/Europace Best Young EP Presentation (Nice, France) and the 2008 American Heart Association Women in Cardiology for Clinical Excellence.She is the recipient of several competitive research grants including NIH NHLBI K08 Mentored Career Development Award, NIH NHLBI R03 Small Grant Program and NIH NHLBI R01 to study the use of 3D mitochondrial dysfunction imaging in cardiac arrhythmias. She is also a recipient of the American Heart Association Scientist Development Grant, grant support from the Foundation of Gender Specific Medicine, Columbia University Louis V. Gerstner Jr. Scholars Program, and Columbia University Provost's Grants Program for Junior Faculty who Contribute to the Diversity Goals of the University. She is vice co-chair of the Heart Rhythm Society Digital Health Committee and a member of the American Heart Association Committee on Electrocardiography and Arrhythmias. She has published over 100 manuscripts in high impact journals such as Nature Medicine, Circulation, Science Translational Medicine, Circulation Research, Journal of Clinical Investigation and Journal of American College of Cardiology.
