Biography: Dr. Rogers is a native Texan, born in San Antonio. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1972 with a bachelor's degree in biology. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center Medical School in San Antonio in 1977. He completed his internship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. He did his general surgery residency also at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, followed by a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery (19781983) at the same medical center. In 2012, Dr. Rogers merged his practice with the START Center for Cancer Care. Dr. Rogers is board certified by the American Board of Surgery as well as the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery.

Biography: Dr. Lewis completed medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX,on a scholarship from the United States Air Force. Following General Surgerytraining at Wilford Hall Medical Center, he traveled to Connecticut for specialtytraining in Colon and Rectal Surgery. Dr. Lewis then served as residency programdirector at Wilford Hall Medical Center and assistant program director for surgeryat UT Health Science Center San Antonio.After serving honorably for 18 years, Lieutenant Colonel Lewis returned to SanAntonio to enter private practice in 2012. His military experience taught him anappreciation for professionalism, leadership, and a collaborative approach toproblem-solving. These core values have served Dr. Lewis well throughout hisbusy surgical practice. While skilled in all aspects of Colorectal Surgery, hisprimary clinical interests are Colorectal Cancer and Inflammatory Bowel Disease,where a team approach to patient-centered care is paramount. He achieved andmaintains Board Certification from both the American Board of Surgery and theAmerican Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery.When not taking care of patients, Dr. Lewis enjoys traveling, golfing, hiking, andspending time with his extended family. He and his wife, Jennifer, are the proudparents of four very accomplished children.
