Dr. von Geldern specializes in the treatment of patients with multiple sclerosis, transverse myelitis, neuromyelitis optica, and other neuroimmunological diseases. She believes that it is important to equip patients to better deal with a chronic neurologic disease through clear and detailed information and careful assessment of all aspects of life. Dr. Geldern is an associate professor for the Department of Neurology. Her clinical and research interests include multiple sclerosis, transverse myelitis, neuromyelitis optica, neuroimmunological diseases, infectious side effects of disease modifying therapies in MS, the effect of nutrition in MS, quality of life and functional impairments.
