He was raised in Charleston, graduated from Porter-Gaud School and completed his undergraduate studies at Wake Forest University. He received his medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in medical oncology and hematology at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). He has been a partner at Lowcountry Hematology and Oncology since 2007. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife, who is pharmacist at the VA Medical Center, and their three young sons.

Biography: Dr. Kalinsky completed his undergraduate degree at Emory University and earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). He completed his residency at Vanderbilt University in internal medicine. Dr. Kalinsky completed his fellowship in geriatric medicine at Vanderbilt and in hematology and oncology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital. He is board certified in both hematology and oncology as well as internal and geriatric medicine.
