Biography: Nels Carroll, MD, is a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon with Cardiovascular Institute of Los Robles Health System. Serving patients throughout Los Angeles and Ventura counties, Dr. Carroll specializes in the surgical treatment of adults with cardiovascular and lung diseases and conditions.Dr. Carroll graduated from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He went on to complete his residency in integrated thoracic surgery at UT Health San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas. Among several awards earned during his residency was first place in the Aust Society Annual Clinical Research resident competition. Prior to entering the field of medicine, Dr. Carroll earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and, upon graduating, joined Teach for America where he taught elementary school in Houston, Texas. Dr. Carroll most recently worked at Swedish Healthcare where he helped develop the robotic thoracic surgery program. He is certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and is an active member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and the J. Bradley Aust Surgical Society. He has numerous publications and abstracts in medical journals related to the fields of cardiovascular and thoracic care. When he is not practicing medicine, Dr. Carroll enjoys hiking, running, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Biography: With three other heart and lung surgeons in his immediate family, Dr. MohammadZadeh grew up in Michigan where early on he was influenced by the mentorship of his uncle, a pioneer heart surgeon in the Midwest. For over twenty years Dr. MohammadZadeh has dedicated his entire professional career to the care of patients in the Conejo Valley. Having successfully completed thousands of open heart operations and lung cancer resections, Dr. MohammadZadeh has acquired an impeccable reputation for integrity, compassion and devotion to patient care. During this time he has developed a niche in performing highly complex operations in cardiac and thoracic surgery with excellent results.
