She then received her medical degree from University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston, Texas in 2015 and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology in 2019. Dr. Tamra Fortenberry joined Matlock OB/GYN in 2008 after completing her Obstetrics and Gynecology training in the Memphis, Tennessee area.She attended medical school at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis and received her doctorate of medicine in 2004. Dr. Fortenberry then completed her residency at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2008.She is a Junior Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the Texas Medical Association, American Medical Association and the Tarrant County Medical Society.Dr. Fortenberry is active in healthcare community outreach and education programs.

Biography: Dr. Nicole Tenzel is a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as the International Board of Lactation Consultants. Dr. Tenzel earned her bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University and her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She then went on to complete her residency in Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science in 2019 at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Dr. Tenzel has a vested interest in resident and medical student education and clinical training. She was awarded the Gold Humanism Honor Society Resident Teaching Award in 2016. Her professional interests include contraception, adolescent gynecology, high-risk obstetrics, and maternal mental health.
