He has a special interest in working with transitional-age youth, biological treatments for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and providing gender-affirming and LGBTQIA+ mental health care. Dr. Singh’s research focuses on the efficacy of complementary and alternative medicine in mental health. Passionate about education and innovation, he has developed professional programs for clinicians and mentors medical students as an assistant clinical professor of psychiatry at California Northstate University College of Medicine. Dr. Singh actively contributes to nonprofit organizations such as the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and the Sikh Health Network, where he leads community-based initiatives to reduce stigma and improve mental health care access. Outside work, Dr. Singh enjoys family time, gardening rare and exotic plants, exploring nature through photography, cooking, pottery, interior design, flower arranging, and event aesthetics.

She has a patient-centered approach and uses cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, family dynamics, and mindfulness. Satoko believes everyone should feel heard, safe, supported, and understood. She empowers patients to explore difficult situations and is dedicated to helping them learn skills to be resilient and gain more insight, balance, peace, and happiness in their lives.

Biography: Dr. Prital Desai provides compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care with a strong foundation in public health. She emphasizes preventative and holistic approaches, addressing the root causes of mental health concerns rather than solely managing symptoms with medication. Dr. Desai prioritizes patient education, creating awareness about mental health conditions, and exploring both medication and non-medication treatment options to empower her patients in making informed choices. Outside work, Dr. Desai enjoys dancing, hiking, kayaking, reading, and quality time with family and friends.
