Biography: I am a specialty trained surgeon and urogynecologist with experience treating women's health problems, including pelvic organ prolapse, uterine prolapse, cystoceles and rectoceles. I also specialize in treating bothersome bladder issues, including urinary incontinence and overactive bladder. \n Following a residency in obstetrics and gynecology, I completed a three-year fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery (urogynecology). His training and years of experience help him combine the elements of gynecology, urology and pelvic reconstructive surgery to provide patients with the most accurate diagnoses and comprehensive treatment options available. Dr. Porter has conducted extensive urogynecologic research and trained physicians in the field in advanced urogynecologic surgical techniques. Dr. Porter specializes in minimally invasive surgery to treat pelvic floor disorders such as urinary incontinence, cystoceles and uterine prolapse. Dr. Porter is committed to using the latest and most effective treatments available.

Biography: Dr. Mark Bland, MD is an Obstetrics /amp Gynecology Specialist who practices in Charlotte, NC. He is 58 years old. Dr. Mark Bland, MD is affiliated with Novant Health Ballantyne Outpatient Surgery.

Biography: For over a quarter of a century, I have loved practicing obstetrics and gynecology in Charlotte, and I treasure the meaningful relationships I've formed with my patients during that time. Every person has a story to tell, and I like to get to know the human being in front of me before we delve into the presenting medical problem that brought her to my office. \n Every individual's medical situation is unique, and there is no cookie-cutter solution that can be applied universally. My job is to work with patients to figure out the best solution for them and then carry it out safely. \n I've have been performing robotic surgical procedures since 2009 and have a keen interest in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery and pelvic floor reconstruction. I established the Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology at what was then called Novant Health Presbyterian Hospital in 2012 and was the first gynecologic surgeon in North Carolina to be awarded Master Surgeon by the Surgical Review Corporation, a global nonprofit patient safety organization. \n I've taught gynecologic surgeons and directed continuing medical education courses throughout the United States and Canada. In addition, I received a "Best Doctor" award from the North Carolina Business Journal, a "Top Doctor" award from both Charlotte Magazine and the Charlotte Business Journal on multiple occasions. \n After graduating from Dartmouth College, I earned a master's degree from Georgetown University before pursuing my medical education at the George Washington University School of Medicine. I served as The Academic Chief Resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology during my final year at the George Washington University Medical Center. \n I've been happily married for three decades, and my wife and I have three grown children. When not wearing scrubs, you can find me enjoying time outdoors, alpine climbing, exercising or riding on my John Deere tractor.
